Annette & team make this place so, so special! Every time I go in, I find new treasures and I love the diversity of literature that's displayed. As soon as I walk in, I see Indigenous stories written by Indigenous folks. I see the Powwow Guides they give away. I see great non-fiction and fiction alike. This place is a haven for comic and graphic novel lovers! As well as paperback fans. 😁😁😁 Something for everyone, can't recommend the place enough!

My Dad loved reading he brought my brother an sister's here around "81" . He told us he wanted us to pick a book he didn't care what book . He said " I want all of you to know how to read" Though it was weird cause I new how to read...

You will never regret spending time at Allison the Bookman. The store is welcoming and friendly and has miles of books on just about every subject you could imagine. Every visit, you can see new things and pick up new treasures -- classics, hard-to-find books, vintage magazines and newspapers, genealogical resources, new books, etc. The list is almost endless. Allison the Bookman celebrates reading and books and everybody ought to visit at least once or twice a year!

What a special experience it was being able to bring my daughter to the same bookstore I grew up visiting as a child. An amazing selection of books even antique ones! Please make this a special stop if you have not done so yet!

I love Allison's, it's a North Bay institution! It's deceptively large; the amount of books they have is unbelievable, and the prices for new and used books are quite reasonable. Every time I visit, I leave with an armload of new books. This weekend I brought my kids there for the first time. I'm happy to be able to share the experience with them, and (hopefully) foster a life-long love of reading.

Super cool store with new AND used books! They also have a program where enough can hand in your used books and they will give you credit towards getting a percentage off new and used books!

The largest book store I've ever seen that wasn't an indigo. Incredible selection, amazing staff, will stop by every time I'm in North Bay!

Always a pleasure to visit the #1 book store in North Bay. You can browse for hours over the titles. Although it is my wife that is the reader, I always manage to walk out of there with a new/used cookbook. You can bring books in and get a points credit towards your next purchase. Of course thousands of used books but they bring in a good amount of new books also. Stop in and take a look at some of the phenomenal old pictures and news clippings they have of North Bay and the book store.
